The Comparative Study On Development Of Port Economy Around Bohai In China

21st century will be an oceanic century and a global economy's century. As the link between the ocean and the land, ocean parts will certainly play an inevitable and critical role in the international trade under the environment of the increasing trend of global economy, the rapid revolution of IT, the fast adjustment of industrial structure and further international cooperation and competition of world economy. In this term, every country throughout the world is going to emphasize the research and development of port economy, the important part of marine economy. After being the member of WTO, China's foreign trade will grow more fast than before, which will bring more opportunities for China's port industry and economy. Port is a kind of strategic resource to a country, and the study of it is hence a rather complex and organic system. Further theoretic research of port economy will generate a benign effect to both the development and the radiant function of port economy.The eastern coastal part of China becomes the most developed economics band of the nation, which makes it strategically important to China's economy development. During the development of coastal districts of China, ocean ports play and very important role and grow up to three ocean port agglomerations. At present, China is blooming a new round tide of ports setup, which promotes the series development of the industry chain in the local cities and their radiant areas. We call it port economy effect. In the north of China coastal the port agglomeration around Bohai backing on the Bohai Economic Zone and Old Northeast Industry Base, in which the core ports are Qingdao, Dalian and Tianjin, has the advantages of the distinguished regional predominance, the favorable economic foundation as well as the advanced IT and educational level. Because of chance of Beijing Olympic and industry transfer from Japan and Korea, port economy here makes a rapid progress and a prominence port economy effect. Currently all the surrounding ports competed intensely for the Northeast Asia area core port city. The three ports around Bohai should analyze their own advantages accurately and make well strategy position so that they could construct the Northeast international shipping center and logistics center and embody the international competition of China's ports by well-ordered competing and corporating.This paper focuses on the research of the relationship between coastal ports agglomeration around Bohai and their radiant regions by the research method of positivism. In section one, we mainly analyze the current economic status of the ocean port cities and their hinterlands around Bohai. In section two, by discussing the dynamic reasons, we try to find out the empirical laws of the economy development of China's ocean ports. In the third section, we use the recursive analysis to predict the economic trend of ports around Bohai and give some advice. In the final section, we conceive the development goals and strategic positions of ports around Bohai, and hope to provide the theoretical supports and references for the reasonable layout and classification of ports around Bohai.
