Starting from the phenomenon of fetish of money that generally exists in modern commodity society, according to the classical works of Marx, with a reference to some modern writers' concerned thinking about this question, such as Georg Simmel's, the dissertation tries to analyze how the fetish of money connects with our socialism market economy, and how the fetish of money impacts our socialism market economy. Money is a historical phenomenon, and that the fetish of money, as a connection between money with the human, shows the connection with the historical period in which the human are. So we must analyze money first in order to analyze the fetish of money. The classical works of Marx have showed us some revelation: the appearance of money is connected with the historical period in which the human are in some degree. We must research commodity economy first in order to cast back money. The commodity has two attributes: the value of use and the value, and the two attributes have connection with human's labor in the last analysis. In the first section, from the twoness of human's labor which are personal labor and communal labor, the dissertation discusses historical inevitability of money and fetish of money, and analyzes the essence of fetish of money. Is there fetish of money in our socialism market economy? If there was, what's the character? Does it take an affirmative role or a negative role on our socialism market economy? Analyzing those questions is the second section of the dissertation. The last section is that the actual ways of the self-overcoming of fetish of money is discussed according to developing market economy well, legislating the money system which is useful for human, setting rational consciousness of money.
