Analysis Of Advantages Of IT Outsourcing Applied By Retailing Enterprises

The advantages of IT outsourcing applied by retailing enterprises is analyzed in the thesis. First, several advantages of carrying out IT outsourcing by retailing enterprises are discussed item by item. Then, a comparison is made among the importance of the advantages given the development condition of domestic retailing industry. B&Q (China) is studied as a case in point by means of empirical analysis, which reflects the most advanced level of IT outsourcing application by retailing enterprises in domestic market. The conclusion of the article is that, with entry of more foreign retailing companies into Chinese market and increasing competition, retailing enterprises will have to adopt IT outsourcing in order to employ advanced information products and solutions for operation, in turn to strengthen the core competency of the company, which is the true benefit of IT outsourcing for them at present. Therefore, it will be beneficial for domestic retailing companies to adopt and carry out IT outsourcing in order to compete with foreign counterparts better in domestic market.
