The corporate culture can be divided into two parts: the core culture and the un-core culture. The so-called core culture is in the core position of the corporate culture, and is crucial to the long-term survival and steady development of the corporation.Four categories that comprise the core culture include: the core thought, the core strategy, the powerful action and the brand-image. The core thought is the thought that is very important to a corporation's survival and development. It evolves over time and is the essence of the spiritual culture. The illustrious core thoughts of the modern corporations include humanism, innovation-ism and competition-ism. The core strategies are a series of effective management mechanism and skills singly owned by the corporation. It's the essence of the institutional culture. The powerful action includes firm execution, valid communication and fast reaction. It is the corporation's concrete activity and procedure to establish or carry out the core thought and the core strategy. It is the essence of the behavior culture. Every excellent corporation has its excellent and clear image of character, taking its brand as mark, called the brand-image, it is the essence of the material culture.The core thought is the leading thought that must be consistently maintained throughout the corporation and throughout a variety of situations over a long period of time. It is the most stable factor in the core culture, which show the stubborn side of the corporate culture. The core strategy often needs vary to respond to the change of the corporation's strategic goal so as to form the supportive culture of mission accomplishment. So it is the most living factor and shows the flexible side of the core culture. Being a kind of practical cultural concert, the powerful action must always keep active and sturdy. Being the identity of the corporate culture, the brand-image must at any time keep positive and relatively stable.There is relationship as well as distinction between the four essentials of core culture. The core thought is the soul of the core strategy, the powerful action and thebrand-image. The core strategy is the procedure of action guided by the core thoughts. The powerful action is the activity to carry out the core thought. The brand-image is the materialization of the core thought, the core strategy and the powerful action.The strength of thought, the strength of strategy, the strength of action and the strength of image constitute the strength of corporate core cultural, which is the core competence of the corporation.Giving the concrete index of evaluation, the range of value, the weight and the criterion of evaluation according to the four essentials of core culture, one can constitute a evaluation-system of core culture to diagnose and evaluate the corporate core culture.Building the excellent corporate culture, corporations must set up and hold on the illustrious core thought, innovate continuously the core strategy, act quickly and actively, as well as shape and maintain the brand-image carefully day in and day out. Then the corporate culture can keep equilibrium between stubborn and flexible, and develop constantly with agile and systematic self-renovation.
