Entering the 21st century, there are three noteworthy characteristics on internal and external economic development: Internal economy transition; economic globalization; entering the times of knowledge-base economy. Those transformations bring sharp challenges to Chinese enterprises. Considering of the competitive situation that the present Chinese enterprises are facing, this dissertation based on the theory of corporate culture, the core competence theory and the corporate strategy theory, argued the great importance of contemporary Chinese corporate culture construction. This article also rose that the way to build the corporate culture is to carry out a corporate culture strategy, taking the modern enterprise system as institutional foundation, assimilating the soul of culture at all times and all of the world, to construct a kind of corporate culture of Chinese feature and era request. There are three parts in this thesis:The first part is about the corporate culture and it's theoretical foundation. We introduced the conception and the traits of corporate culture, the basic element, the structure and the theoretical foundation of corporate culture. This part gave theoretical support of the following analysis.The second part is about the importance of corporate culture construction. In this part we combined the corporate culture theory with the core competence theory, stating that: the characteristics of excellent corporate culture are urgently required by corporations to develop a core competence. So we put forward an opinion that: to build a superior corporate culture is the key for contemporary Chinese enterprises to achieve superiority. We also gave some cases to back this opinion.The third part is about Chinese corporate culture strategy. Based on the Chinese reality and the corporate strategy theory, we built an objective pattern of corporate culture strategy, which has institution layer and spirit layer. We also advanced relevant advices for three important stages in carrying out the corporate culture strategy.The new points of this dissertation are that we combined the corporate culture theory with the core competence theory, which is one of the latest management theories, so theoretically proved the great meaning of corporate culture construction. In addition, this thesis built an objective pattern of corporate culture strategy, and made an exploration in this new field.
