As a historical stage, Culture Revolution seems coming and going hurriedly, but its influence on our life and spirit, like ripples, is existing all the moment. Thus we have to face what happened. The Great Culture Revolution, the ten years long calamity, which caused great suffer and turbulence on China society, had brought disaster to millions of its people. The most suffered among its victims are the Red Guards and Educated Youth. They are the main participants as well as the direct victims. After the revolution, enormous people are reflecting on what had caused the abnormal historical moment. undoubtly, Education of the time can't be neglected for a satisfactory explanation. The past is the prologue, so a deep reflection on the education of Culture Revolution is the starting point for a better education. This is a question of great practical significance as well as the goal of this paper. In this paper, lessons will be can't after a historical and authentic presentation of value education in the special period. Centering on the theme, this paper firstly analyze the situation of the stage's society and education, then an analysis of the value education of the period, and followed by a focal discussion of lessons learnt from the event. The paper is divided into 3 parts. The first part is the source of contradiction, which is an analysis of the social environment before and in the Culture Revolution. The circumstances in and outside the country, traditional culture accumulation and the worship of Mao Ze Dong are analyzed respectively as the cause of Culture Revolution. Based on actual facts, reality of the Revolution is examined, the mainly present the education situation of the period. The second part is the aftermath of the Revolution, which is a discussion of the value instruction of the special era. By unfolding the historical event and induction, a conclusion of the features of the value education for adolescents of the period is drawed: The opposite direction guided value educati9on, the dualism in value education contents, the abnormal practice of value education. From theory to practice, the features of value education in the historical stage are presented step by step. The third part is recalling a painful experience, which a discussion of the enlightenment gained from value of education of Culture Revolution. From an thorough an analysis of value education in Culture Revolution, we can get a clear picture of the hard course of value education after the mid-20th century. The study is not satisfied with a historical examination, but concerned with today's life world. The inspirations we got are as follows: to keep away from politics and keep education's relative independent character, to reflect on education equals to society and keep education's focus on human being as a premises, to abandon work as education and keep normal orders in schools, to say farewell to worship and the influence of authoritative person be moderated. It's said that Culture Revolution happened in China while its study only exists outside. But as the men's sight change, they're paying more interests and emotion to the special historical stage. The fading tine will never desalinate the special, sensitive and contradictory development stage of education in Culture Revolution. Even today, a summarization of the lessons from Culture Revolution is still work of great significance.
