The Study On The Educational Strategy Of Improving Prisoners' Professional And Technical Ability

In the era of market economy, how are prisoners corrected into the citizens who can abide by laws and can adapt themselves to the present life by education?According to the investigations, one of the main reasons of recidivism is that the prisoners are educated poorly, their professional and technical ability are too poor to take part in the social competition and to adapt themselves to present life after being released. Therefore, the key strategy of advancing the corrective quality by education is to improve the prisoners' professional and technical ability. Based upon experiences drawn from the theories of prisoners' professional and technical ability training home and abroad, according to the investigations, the paper expounds the necessity of prisoners' professional and technical ability, the problems of its training, the reasons of these problems. Hence, according to the human capital theory the paper puts forward some new ideas and raises some relevant policies.This thesis combs three parts.First part: Studies on the necessity of improving prisoners' professional and technical ability. Analyzes the necessity of it under the human capital theory. Based upon the result of investigations, analyzes the prisoners' constitution and the recidivism reasons. The paper raises the necessity of prisoners' professional and technical ability. The content includes: The basis of the paper's theory; Not only in the view of the human capital theory but also in the view of prisoners' features, it is very necessary to improve prisoners' professional and technical ability; The main reason of prisoners' recidivism is that many prisoners' professional and technical ability is very weak. Therefore, to improve prisoners'professional and technical ability is very necessary for the corrective quality.Second part: This part looks back the history of the prisoners' professional and technical ability training in our country, and analyzes its present situation, problems and reasons.Third part: The main strategies contribute to improving prisoners' professional and technical ability. Based upon the above-mentioned analysis, firstly, this part expounds four points on the strategies with the human capital theory: In the view of the human capital theory, how to solve the problem of finances and realize the beneficial result of the prisoners' professional and technical ability training; In the view of the human capital theory, what are the requirements of the training's goal, of its teaching, of its socializing strategies. And then raises five educational strategies: 1. Reform the ideas of the prisoners' professional and technical ability training. 2. Make use of the social resources and open the way of training. 3. Establish the specific organization in an open way. 4. Raise money in some ways to ensure the financial supply of the training. 5. Reform the teaching and studying of the training.
