In the report of the 16th Convention of Chinese Communist Party, it is pointed out that the resolve of the problem of 'agriculture, countryside and peasant" is one of the most important tasks in the process to an affluence society in China. According to the present situation, agricultural integration is a practical and efficient choice to the development goal of 'building modern agriculture, prospering rural economics and increasing peasants' income'.Though there are different understandings about agricultural integration, the basic idea of agricultural integration is to build an integrated system both in agricultural production and management, which differentiate with traditional agricultural production and management. It means: first, integrating agricultural pre-production, in-production and post-production together into a whole production chain system by benefit-union system. Second, integrating planting and animal raising, producing and selling, business management, industrializing production and agricultural production together into a whole management system. Third, improving the capacity of profit gaining of the integrated system. In this paper, some popular agricultural integration system and the relevant benefit-union system are introduced, both in advanced countries and in China. As the basic situations of Chinese agriculture include with huge agricultural population and scarce soil resource, labor-intensive agriculture shall be our agricultural development direction. Since the economics of scale in labor-intensive industry is limited, economics of scope will play a more and more role in the development of agricultural integration. Integrated agriculture featured with economics of scope, especially economics of scope by external cluster effects, is also the development direction of Chinese modern agriculture.
