After Prahalad and Hamel's essay, the core competence of corporation, was published by Harvard Business Review, the research of enterprise's core competence has become the hot topic in the academic field and many articles in this field were published. In nowadays intensive market competence, for sustainable explore and development, a lot of native enterprises accepted and practiced the conception and theory of enterprise's core competence and paid more and more attention on the cultivating, elevating and accumulating their own competence.To study core competence , not only the deep theory study with the method of economics and management should be inquired ,but also the apply in practical field should be included. Researchers put forward some suggestions suitable for the cultivation, promoting and accumulating enterprise core competence through indexes and datum.On the basis of home and broad's study on the evaluation system of core competence, the corporate's core competence are divided into 4 categories, core technology capacity, adaptability capacity, scale capacity and management capacity in order to establish the index evaluation system of corporate competence. Thereafter, by the means of benchmark method, 18 electronic information enterprises were analyzed from the aspects of their competence. The problems such as lacking of R&D, invent capacity, intellectual property, novel technology and products and so on are discovered in this thesis, and the correspondent strategies and suggestions are presented in order to improve the enterprise's core competence of Wuhan, which would be served as the reference in the decision making procedure of Wuhan government in order to booming its electric and information industries.
