Research On The Inventory Mode And The Control Policy Of Spare Parts

The management of equipment is an important task of enterprise management, and is called the life line management. To some extend, whether the business can develop constantly depends on the equipment management. At present, many state-owned enterprises face the problems of high cost of inventory and maintenance. According to the statistics, the equipment maintenance cost is more than 8% of the whole operating cost, and the spare parts cost is about 70-80% of maintenance costs. In conclusion, the inventory management of spare parts is the important part of equipment management and of the maintenance resources. Only the supply and the inventory of the spare parts is well organized can the enterprises finish the maintenance task economically. This dissertation begins with the basic concepts of spare parts and the maintenance modes development of equipment, and analyses the relationship of spare parts inventory and the maintenance mode, and introduces the differences between the spare parts inventory and common goods.By analyzing the basic characteristics of spare parts and the present methods of spare parts classification, this dissertation points out the advantages and the disadvantages of the present methods and expounds the multiple dimension classification of spare parts, offering the evidence for the inventory control tactics of spare parts. This dissertation puts forwards the three key elements of spare parts inventory,that is, the location, the owner and the keeper. The dissertation studies the various inventory modes for spare parts, such as the jointly inventory and the vendor management inventory, pointing out the significant meaning for the assets density enterprises. Finally, the paper studies the inventory control tactics from the view of inventory mode, supply mode and the order model, and provides the supplement tactics.
