After the "911" terrorist attack, the importance of the security pattern of the Asian-Pacific area is promoted greatly. The Asian-Pacific area became the key area where all the main big countries pay attention to on strategy. It is also one of the most active areas of the geopolitics activity of our times. The change and trend of the Asian-Pacific security pattern are influencing the development trend of the security pattern of the world. On the basis of forefathers' research results, this dissertation analyzes the current situation of the security pattern of the Asian-Pacific area at first, pointing out that U.S.A. is a main factor of influencing the security environment of the Asian-Pacific area. Secondly, it explains the change and trend of the present security pattern the Asian-Pacific area, and analyses variation tendency of the main strength such as U.S.A., China, Japan, Association of South-east Asian Nations and Russia acting on the Asian-Pacific area. Thirdly, it advances the countermeasures China should take to reply the change on the foundation of analyzing the factors influencing security pattern of the Asian- Pacific area and security environment in depth: form the proper strategy to American and anti-hegemonism; Unite and strengthen peaceful strength and safeguard world peace together; balance big country's relations and restrict and exceed dominating exclusively; keep good neighborly and friendly relations and safeguard the stability of perimeter, improve the overall national strength, realize the military modernization. Finally, it pursues the strategic purpose of hegemonism in the Asian-Pacific area after summarizing the function and U.S.A. that China plays to the peace and development of the world, have proposed the countermeasure and suggestion of the strategic opportunity one of the first 20 years of this century in China.
