This research employs questionnaire method to explore the stress on firemen in Guang Dong cities.With the way of integrating theoretics and practice we study the four facets of firemen' s stress, including psychological stress source, stress response, cope and society sustain, as well as examine the reliability and factor structure.The results indicates that:(l) The psychological stress source questionnaire includes six factors, which are work condition, person relation, sociality relation, training, work characteristics and thing in life, and the a of the questionnaire is .86, Total Variance Explained is 65.6%. (2)The stress response questionnaire includes six factors, which are anxiety, body and heart disaccord, spirit trance, nerve turbulence, over excitement, response disaccord, and the a of the questionnaire is . 89, Total Variance Explained is 67.2%. (3) The society sustain questionnaire includes six factors, which are society group, elders, friends, acquaintance teacher and others, and the a of the questionnaire is .78, Total Variance Explained is 61.5%. (4) The cope questionnaire includes six factors, which are emotion abreaction, entertainment, positive activity, detract attention, initiative resolve, look for help, and the a of the questionnaire is . 73, Total Variance Explained is 65.4%. (5) military rank variable is difference in psychological stress source, stress response and society sustain questionnaire. (6) education level is difference in psychological stress source and society sustain questionnaire. (7) soldier source variable is difference in psychological stress source and society sustain questionnaire.The results and findings in this research are helpful to our fire fighting people to take effective means to improve the ability to cope stress.
