Reconstrution Of Size Structure Of Urban System In Jilin Province

With the rapid step of urbanization in China and the macroscopical adjustmentof state regional development policy from the exploitation in the west of China tovigorous development in the northeast of China, the urban development of JilinProvince faces a new opportunity. The current urban system of Jilin Province can'tmeet the demand of social development, and desiderates the adjustment andconsummation. On the base of analysis and study of social economy and urban futuredevelopment in Jilin Province, this paper use the study methods including thecombination of theoretical analysis and investigation on the spot, the combination ofqualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, and the combination of deduction,concluding and contrast analysis to prognosticate the urbanization level, urban futuredevelopment and the gross of urban population. Then the paper tries to find theapproach to solve the conflict between the swarming population and the urbancontaining and speed the healthy development of urbanization course. This paper bases on the important theories of urban geography, and starts fromthe actuality character and restructuring background of grade scale structure in urbansystem of Jilin Province. This paper analyzes the actuality character of grade scalestructure in urban system of Jilin Province, and expatiates the transferring of countrysurplus labor force, the moving of urban industry population, the response betweenthe vigorous development in the northeast of China and all the central cities in theurban system. This paper prognosticates the urban development level of Jilin Province and thesurplus population and analyzes the developing trend and capability of containingpopulation in every grade of cities in Jilin Province in order to fix on the developingscale of every grade of cities and construct the relatively reasonable and integralgrade scale structure of urban system. At present, there are outstanding problems of urban system in Jilin Province.Therefore this paper bases on the fact to combine the theories of urban system andthe actual condition in Jilin Province and has maneuverability.
