Lean Logistics, which originates from JIT manufacturing mode and Lean thinking theory, is one of the management theories. The core of the Lean Logistics theory is to get rid of all kinds of wastes including inventories. The aim of the Lean Logistics is to minimize the wastes basing on a series of certain methods and supply the customers satisfying services. It's very important to for enterprises of China to adopt Lean Logistics.The paper introduced the conceptions of the logistics and enterprise logistics first, and summarized the 4 phases enterprises would experience: primary phase, inner-integrating phase, supply-chain-integrating phase and network-and-electronic phase. The paper indicated summarily the Lean Logistics theory then, gave the conditions which must be met to carry out Lean Logistics successfully and pointed out the importance to adopt Lean Logistics. Based on understanding clearly the manufacturing enterprises of China and actuality of the Third Party Logistics (TPL), the paper analyzed why the manufacturing enterprises need to cooperate with the TPL: status of logistics operating by the manufacturing enterprise is not good; to advance Core competence; to get value added service. TPL enterprises have dynamic to cooperate with the manufacturing enterprises and have the ability to supply manufacturing systematic service. Under these situations, it became the principals to build the operation mode of logistics.The paper built the logistics operation mode of manufacturing enterprise with TPL joining in and indicated the operation process. The logistics operation mode takes information as foundation and includes such main sub-systems as distribution system, transportation system, milk round system etc. Distribution system prefers to those manufacture enterprises whose material logistics are little batch and many lots, take charge of the goods supplement and inventory management; according to the character of suppliers distributing abroad, the transportation system sets up goods centre in another place where supplier concentrated in and transports goods from goods centre to distribution centre; milk round system mainly service for suppliers whose mater supplying is only a few and decrease logistic cost efficiently. The whole system improves service level while minimizing the cost through orders pulling. The paper issued the implementing model and gave a brief interpretation. This mode includes strategic phrase, tactics phrase and implementing phrase. The strategic phrase means the contract of cooperation; tactics phrase begins with production or the order prediction, confirms the logistics operation mode and process and fulfils the target; the last phrase defines the detailed logistic process and makes it work well.
