The meaning of international strategy is a long-term and comprehensive plan in the area of foreign relationship. Twenty-eight years practice of the new democratic revolution made the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) develop from the period of a small organization to a strong and influential one. The new democratic revolution under the leadership of the CCP was not only applied to China with special features, but also closely connected with the world. During the period of the new democratic revolution, the CCP with the Marxist world view scientifically analyzed the changing international and domestic situations and timely adjusted its international strategy so as to be accustomed to the different situations. All this has finally led to the favorable conditions and the victory of the new democratic revolution. The great works written by Marx, Engels and Lenin about the fundamental principles in the international strategy are the theory resources for CCP in the formulation of its own international strategy. The international strategy has gone through four periods:1.the early period was aimed at opposing all imperialism and gaining the international proletarian support and establishing relationship with communist international organization centered around the Soviet Union; 2. the second period referred to the land revolutionary war focused on the opposing imperialism while having close connection with the Soviet Union and shifting from complete reliance on the communist international organization to the strategy of self-reliance and uniting the United States and all the other forces in fighting against the Japanese aggression and the fascists; the third period was featured with full-scale of fighting against the Japanese invasion together with all the national organizations initiated by the Communist Party, staying away from the tight control of the communist international organization and the Soviet Union, formulating its international strategy in its own way and starting the cooperation with the United States in the areas of military and politics; the fourth period was specialized in the liberation war with more flexibility shifting from the cooperation with the United States to the one of the Soviet Union, helping the Soviet Union in taking back the Northeast from the Japanese occupation and taking mid-way policy to the United States. With the changing situation and the performance of these two countries, the international strategy closed its door to the cooperation with the USA and moved completely to the socialist camp.During the period of the new democratic revolution, the Chinese communists represented by Mao Ze-dong, with fearless courage and with fact-based theory, formulated the international strategy adjustable to the social and political status quo of both China and the rest of the world, formed a broad-sighted and adept style in dealing with foreign affairs, and made skillful use of international strategy, which contributed greatly to the victory of Chinese revolution. Under the background of the current multi-political system and economic globalization, a good summary of the lessons and experience of the international strategy of the New Democratic Revolution will enlighten us in the formulation of Chinese present international strategy.
