Study On The Evaluation Index System For The Degree Of Harmonious Society

"Decision on Some Major Issues concerning Building a Socialist Harmonious Society"was put forward in the 16th Sixth Plenary Session of the Party Central Committee,which emphasizes the important status to build a socialist harmonious society.To build an evaluation index system for the degree of socialist harmonious society is the most important issue.At the same time, that has a great significance for accurately evaluating and promoting the process of building a harmonious society. On the basis of understanding of the content of the goal of the socialist harmonious society,this paper makes an initial study on the evaluation indexes,in the attempt of building evaluation index system of harmonious society of Chinese characteristics that adapts to the object of harmonious society.According to some basic principles of constructing an index system, we explores the structure of index system and the method of obtaining and treatment of the data,then advance an index system which consists of 1 class—A index,6 class—B indexes and 22 class—C indexes, and make use of this index system to evaluate the degree of social harmony in Tianjin, Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing.
