Research On Urbanization Of Cenozoic Migrant Workers

Migrant workers have transferred into the cities more than 20 years. With the time passes, this group took huge internally changes, the most obvious change is the emergence a special group which called "new generation". To compare with the first generation of migrant workers, "new generation" is much different on the knowledge construction, political participation, belonging identity, family combination and city integration. Cenozoic migrant workers have made an enormous contribution to China's urbanization, the construction and economic development is inseparable with them.Meanwhile, new generation of migrant workers gradually integrate into the city. Their behavior and consciousness also has the characteristic of the city's residents. Although they want to stay in the city and melt into the city's life, they never accepted by the city because of the poor house hold registration system and their low social status. They became the "edge people" in the city. This paper develops empirical research in HongGutan District, Nanchang city according to this problem. Take 216 migrant workers as example, combining the way of questionnaire and interviews, make empirical analysis urbanization of the new generation of migrant workers and description by the relevant statistical analysis software instructions. Finally, proposed the correlation suggestion to promote the process of urbanization for migrant workers.
