The problem of the normalization of Sino-British relations is a commonplace subject in the academic community. The content has been unable to break through the scope and framework of previous studies. However, this article has been resorted the topic in view of subjective cognition. The article's structure is divided into four parts. The first part ,the author make a definition of related concepts of social cognition. At the same time, the author also discussed the relationship between social cognition and social behavior.The second and third part, the writer discussed the UK's self-awareness and two countries'mutual understanding. The Britain is still a big country, which build the first welfare-state. In order to compete with The Soviet Union, the United Kingdom positively return to Europe, as a member of the European. Of course, It firstly admitted the new china. For a new understanding of china, the United Kingdom admitted that The People's Republic Of China is only one legitimate government. But for consideration of The Cold War, China is the Object that must be contained. With the changes of international situation, the Britain changed its hostile attitude toward china, defined as potential allies.The fourth part, the author took a representative and persistent problem-the Chinese'UN representation as an case to analyze the subjective understanding of two countries in different stages and revealed the interaction of bilateral relations. Finally, the author made a brief summary. Because of NON-Aligned Movement and the rise of Third World, and the issue of representation at the United Nations has been gone. The relations of Sino-British has been promoted.
