Analysis, On The Normalization Of Sino-us Relations

As the largest developing country and the largest developed country, China and America have something in common and also have some differences. After the foundation of the People's Republic of China, China and America were in hostile and isolated condition for a long time. In the 1970s, the two countries tried together to overcome obstacles and establish the diplomatic relations. This meets the interests and wishes of the people on both sides. This thesis studies this period and analyzes the reason that the two sides decided to accomplish normalization. At last it draws some inspirations from the history and prospects the developing of the Sino-U.S. relationship.The first section analyzes the reason which brought out the normalization of Sino-U.S. relationship. From the contradictions among the capitalist camp, among the socialist camp, between the capitalist camp and the socialist camp and the rising of the third World, this thesis probes into the background under which the two sides brought about the normalization. Then it analyzes the reasons separately from the sides of China and America.The second section probes into the process of the normalization of Sino-U.S. relationship. This process can be divided into three stages: beginning and developing, postponing and winding, finally accomplishing. The thesis also introduces the important historical events during the process.The third section draws some inspirations from the normalization and looks forward to the developing of Sino-U.S. relationship. During the new century, safety factor, economic factor, ideological factor and Taiwan factor affect the developing of Sino-U.S. relationship. Although there exist some setbacks, Sino-U.S. relationship will develop further.
