Township Inner-party Electoral System Reform

This paper takes the township inner-party electoral system as the object of research. A simple introduction on the basic situation of the traditional township inner-party electoral system which is named confirmation election and the "two votes","public recommendation and public election" and" public recommendation and direct election" which was caused by the drawback of the confirmation election.On this basis, use the theory of institutional change of the historical institutionalism as the basic theory, and then is constructing a specific analysis frame. Interaction among the drawback of the institution itself, new concept and key actors would cause the institutional reform when the confirmation election is in path dependence period. However, the new reform bogged down in practice. The postulation of this dissertation is that the path dependence of the confirmation election has a significant guiding function to the reform. It has influenced on the institutionalization, standardization, and the formation of the new institution anticipation when have an important guide effect. Under the strong influence of the path dependence, the institution reform to be difficult to popularize and continue deep development.
