Research On Mao Zedong's Moral-governing Thought

Moral civilization is an important symbol of social progress in human history,and important content of development and progress. In Chinese history, many thinkers made beneficial exploration on moral civilization, which promoted the thought of moral development and practice ,and morality also became one of the highly praise governing methods. In China's revolution and construction period, Mao Zedong explored revolution morality with moral construction of some major issues, and combining marxist ethics with Chinese traditional virtue in guiding ideology. At last,he formed a complete moral-governing thoughts. To analysis and study Mao Zedong's moral-governing thoughts, to summarize the experience of Mao Zedong's moral-governing thoughts and theory,which can promote the process of sinicization of marxism, and create a new situation for construction of socialism.This paper adopts the longitudinal history study and horizontal theory study combing, literature analysis study, historical and logic combing,to analysis of the formation and development of Mao Zedong's morality thoughts in depth,to evaluate its historical role, to summarizes its historical experiences on solving Chinese revolution and construction,meanwhile,to study further for tis contemporary enlightenment.This paper consists of three chapters. First in preface, summarying morality, morality-governing and Mao Zedong's morality-governing.Chapter 1, author analysis and study of Mao Zedong's thoughts of the scientific meaning and virtue of formation and development background, theoretical origin and development grain. Mao Zedong's thought, grounding hinese traditional virtue and morality thought essence, under the guidance of marxism in practice formation of new ethics norms.The formation and development of Mao Zedong's moral-governing thought, involves major historical two stages, the new-democratic revolution and social revolution and construction, which can be roughly divided into four periods.Chapter 2, the paper main analysis and study content of Mao Zedong's moral-governing thoughts. It makes up of five parts: Part 1, seting up the communist ideal and belief: With the people as the standard value orientation, communism is a new moral requirement and moral direction, revolution of utilitarianism. Part 2, adhering to the people's service for the purpose: serving to people is the fundamental principle for Chinese communist party ,insisting collectivism on moral principle, handling the individual, the collective and national relationship correctly. Part 3, paying attention to the ideological and political education: firming communist ideal and faith education, insisting to collectivism and serve the people education, paying attention to the social public opinion and example education. Part 4, changing "officer heavy DE" to "virtue" : persisting of running the integrity of talents, strengthening the party members and cadres standard of ideological and moral cultivation, strengthening the construction of an honest. Part 5, strengthening the moral construction ,improving people's ideological and moral enlightenment: developing in all aspect, bringing up " Qualified politics and profession" socialism generation, and conducting ideological struggle and the self-criticism.Chapter 3, To evaluate Mao Zedong's moral-governing, mainly on comprehensive. Mao Zedong's moral-governing, is a new marxist ethics thought and important part of Mao Zedong's thought, which with the unity of nationality and timing, the unity of scientific and practical, the unity of inherited and developmental, etc. However ,Mao Zedong's moral-governing thoughts exist historical limitations in concrete practice: lacking of safeguard for law and system, existing of Utopian,idealistic and "slogan " tendencies, ignoring the diversification of individual freedom and individual demand. Therefore, in guiding contemporary concrete practice,we must insist on two aspects. It give enlightenment on China's contemporary practice:governing country with morality and law, constructing the socialist core value system, managing state affairs by ethics should insist on people-oriented.
