China is a unified multi-ethnic country. National unity and stability to a largeextent depends on the right ethnic identity and national identity of the people. Theprocess of modernization is with the development of ethnic identity. When nationalconsciousness and the demand of national interests is rising, we must analyze usingpolitical theory and do theoretical reflection on the relation of ethnic identity andnational identity if the various minority ethnic identity could always comes with theidentityof"Chinesenations"anddevelopstowarddirectly"nationalidentity".Mongolian adolescents are the part of the Chinese family and a special groupwithin the Mongolian. On the one hand, they are young and dynamic who are activeand could rapidly accept external things, so they are significantly impacted by alienculture; on the other hand, Mongolian adolescents are most people of Mongolian thatare well educated and impacted by mainstream culture. They represent the future ofthe Mongolian group. Therefore, analyzing the identity status of Mongolianadolescents and providing proposal on how to set Mongolian adolescents` loyalty toethic change to loyalty to the Nation are very important and necessary both in theoryandpracticeinourtypicalmulti-ethnicnation.We need to face the contradiction of ethnic identity and national identity inmulti-ethnic nations and correctly handle the relationship of ethnic identity andnational identity, making the members of national minorities form and developnational identity on the basis of their ethnic identity. It is the way which moderncountries hadtopass whenit searchnational unityanddevelopment.The keytosolvethe problem should be based on promoting economic development and balancingregional economic development, placing great emphasis on the importance of doubleidentitiesandculturaldiversity,constructingofpurepoliticalawarenesstoachievetheharmonyofethnicidentityandnationalidentity.
