China is not only a big agricultural country, but also the world's largest producer and user of pesticides. However, compared with the developed countries such as United States, pesticide regulation of our country has been lagged behind very much. Facing with a growing number of pesticide pollution, pesticide residues, pesticide poisoning, "Pesticide Management Ordinance "seems powerless. Therefore, Learning from the experience of developed countries, improving the legal system of pesticide regulation, rationalizing the system of pesticide regulation, establishing and improving a specific legal system of pesticide regulation has important theoretical and practical significance.This article is divided into five parts:The first part is an overview of pesticide, which mainly introduces the basic characteristics of pesticides and the hazards of pesticides to the environment.The second part is to analyse the necessity of strengthening pesticide regulation respect from both practice and theory.The third part is to investigate the present situation of our legal system of pesticide regulation, explaining from the aspects of existing laws and regulations of pesticide regulation, regulatory regime, and specific system.The fourth part is to research on the law system of pesticide regulation in United States, Sweden, Japan and on their characteristics in order to provide reference and inspiration for improving the pesticide regulation system in our country.The fifth part is the author's thought of how to improve the legal system of pesticide regulation, including the main reason of pesticide problem in our country, the thought about how to improve the legal system of pesticide regulation, and the specific recommendations.
