Study On Women Education In The Shaansi-Gansu-Ningxia Boarder Region During Anti-Japanese War

During the Anti-Japanese War, people had a hard life and backward thinking while women had low social status. To deal such situation, after the establishment of the Shaansi-Gansu-Ningxia.Shaansi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region government, the whole society promoted women's education in modern times, under the influence of this trend, generated a lot goals including the promotion of women's cultural quality, social position and universal emancipation in this region, women's education were pushed forward extensively and permanently. Local government has formulated related policies, promulgated legal system which were protecting women's rights and interests, established Women's Federation and other organizations, commenced from Social Education, school training, practicing and other areas to promote women's cultural knowledge, improve their thinking and understanding, national consciousness, and safeguard their freedom of marriage, rights of election politics and revolutionary practice. Border region women's education was the important part of social education,it reflected the revolutionary, civilians, practice and other characteristics. It was a successful exploration of Chinese women's educational path at that time, created a new situation in the women's movement, also trained a large number of female talents, contributed to the self-defense war against Japan, and the establishment of the Republic. Many features and inspiration of women's education in this region were worth learning and developing in women's education at present, so it has important practical and historical significance to do a comprehensive research on it.
