The information technology is changing our social and economy mode profoundly with its striking development in the past decades. In this thesis how information technology promote the evolvement of enterprise spatial structure is studied.Various theory and research methods are used in this thesis. The theory roots in the technology economics, information economics, region economics, industry economics and human geography. The research methods include epagoge, deductive method, demonstration, logic framework and so on. At first, the meaning of information technology and enterprise spatial structure is introduced, and then the evolvement motivation and trend of enterprise spatial structure are analyzed from the point of information technology. At last, Shanghai Baosteel Group is used as the research object to approve the main issue.The conclusions as follows are deduced on the basis of study.1.The reasons of the evolvement of enterprise spatial structure are: (l)The changing of location factor;(2)The impact of information technology on the enterprise production, management and organization system;(3)The time-cost.2. The trend of evolvement of the enterprise spatial structure: (1) Centralization or decentralization;(2) Networked mode; (3)The spatial distributing of labor force is strengthening.3.The enterprise spatial structure of Shanghai Baosteel Group is to be networked mode .The innovation of this thesis roots in the combination of the location theory and the information economics. Besides, the logic frame and sketch map are used to demonstrate the issue.There is shortcoming in this paper. The study is based on information technology only, but the evolvement of enterprise spatial structure is affected by many factors. So each factor should be calculated in the future research.
