The competition among enterprises in this new epoch is fundamentally the competition among talents. As the first resource in enterprises, human resource not only brings in talents for enterprises but also is a tool for enterprises to obtain sustainable competitive advantages. Tailin Co., Ltd., directly under Guangxi Forestry Department, mainly runs the business of timber and forest products. For the reasons that society did not pay adequate attention to forestry for a long time as well as that Chinese Government did not attach enough importance in investing into forestry and in formulating policies to boost it, forestry industry has been undermined in attracting talents. Tailin Co., Ltd. has to attract and retain talents for its development and survival, has to establish a set of human resource management and development system suitable for the market economic development. By doing that, Tailin will do well in such various aspects as attracting talents, making use of talents, nursing talents, stimulating lateens, protecting talents and retaining talents, enables the talents to fully display their ability for gaining sustainable development for the company while in the face of tight competition.
