Research On The Spatial Structure Optimization Of Tourism Destination System

The research about spatial structure in regional science was successfuland this achievement had accelerated the development of regional economy.We have been paying attention to the research of regional tourism, but whatwe had done is not enough in the theory of spatial structure of regionaltourism. In China, because of the later development of tourism and the"hotspot" leading the tourism research, the research in basic theory oftourism is deficient. So, it becomes more necessary to set up the theory ofspatial structure of tourism. With the development of the economy and the improvement ofpeople's life, our country is going to a gold time to develop tourism.Meanwhile, Henan province with many tourism resources is also facing thegood chance to develop tourism. In 2002, the number of Henan's foreignexchange is only 14.5 billion dollar and it is the twentieth in our country,the number of foreign tourists is 410 thousand and it is the twenty-first inChina. These dates show that the development grade of Henan tourism isnot consistent with its tourism resources. The reasons for this situation arevarious, one of them is illogical spatial structure of destination system. So,in order to accelerate the rate of Henan tourism, tourism system spatialstructure is optimized appears very necessary and important. In this thesis, firstly the author emphasizes the basic concepts and thebasic theories, analyzes and defines the factors that the regional tourismdestination system has, designs the generic model of spatial structure aboutregional tourism destination system; secondly, the author generalizes thegeneric model of spatial structure optimization of tourism destinationsystem; finally, according to this model the author design material tourismspatial structure based on Henan. In this thesis, the author wants to discoverthe basic factors, the generic structure model and the generic optimizingmodel from the spatial structure of regional tourism destination system.Then these theories will be used in formulating the regional tourismdevelopment strategies. At the end the author wants to do something toperfect the theory of spatial structure of tourism destination system. Besides foreword and conclusion, this paper consists of five parts: Part one: In this part, the research background is introduced. Theresearch method and the analysis frame are explained. Part two: in order to extract distillates and avoid the blindness inresearch, the research results of spatial structure of tourism are reviewed. Part three: In this part, theory system is set up . Firstly theconcepts of tourism destination system are explained. Secondly the ranksystem of tourism destination is analyzed. Thirdly the influential factors,the characters and the model of spatial structure of tourism destinationsystem are set forth. Finally the spatial structure optimization of tourismdestination system is expounded profoundly. Part four: Henan's present situation of spatial structure of tourismis analyzed from the facet of resources and visitor market. Then thestrategies to optimize Henan tourism center place system, tourism districtspatial structure and tourism route are put forward. Part five: In this part, the research emphases and the conclusionsof the thesis are summarized firstly; then the author points out the flaws inthis thesis.
