Entering into the 21st century, the development of society endows security with new contents. Different theorists set forth different implications and ideas of security. Different ideas determine different models of security from balance of power, alliance and collective security to current common security, cooperative security. Complex security questions appear one by one as the ancient Asia is on the way to modernization—history problems haven't been solved and new problems come out. To some extent, balance of big country's power, the American military alliance, ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), ARF (ASEAN Regional Forum) and APEC maintain security of some area and some field and solve a lot of security problems, but on the whole, there is no valid Asian Security Regime. SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) established for protecting frontier security, advocates the "Shanghai Spirit" of " mutual trust and benefit, equality, consultation, mutual respect to different civilizations and common prosperity", promotes new style relationship between state-to-state, gives up old idea of Cold War and creates new model of Asian Security. In this paper, I research from security contents, compare with different security ideas, analyze the current security in Asia and the shortcomings of different security models, discuss the new changes having taken place after the occurrence of SCO, and at last study the influence of SCO to the establishment of Asian Security Regime.
