The Construction And Implication Of Natural Rubber And Sugarcane Production Function In Hainan Province

Natural rubber and sugarcane are staple crops of Hainan province and they are very important components of Hainan's agricultural production structure and agricultural product output value. It is important to improve the outputs of the two products for increasing the agricultural gross output and raising the peasants' income level and living standards as well as properly solving the great problem of agriculture ,rural area and peasants of Hainan province. So constructing the natural rubber and sugarcane production function and analyzing the factors that affecting the outputs of the two products have far-reaching significance for raising the gross output of natural rubber and sugarcane. In the principle of production function and its implication in the economic field, the author constructs the natural rubber and sugarcane production function. For the natural production function ,the Cobb-Douglas production function model is chosen and ten variables including the one which reflects the tapping system are imported in the model . The method of ordinary least square is used to estimate the model's parameters. For the sugarcane production function, the Frontier Production Function model is chosen and six variables including five dummy variables are imported in the model. The method of COLS is used to estimate the model's parameters.The natural rubber production function is used to analyze the primary factors that influence the output of solid rubber of Hainan state-owned farms. The conclusion is that in the ten variables the average solid rubber content which is among the natural factors shows significant positive effect on the output of wafer production as well as the average input amount of organic fertilizer per hectare ,the average numbers of nature rubber trees which have been cut per hectare and the numbers of workers. The average weight of grass per hectare and the average cuts per year shows significant negative effect on the wafer production. The other factors show no significant effect on the solid rubber outputs. The author gives the possible explanation to those factors that don't show significant effect. The sugarcane production function is used to calculate the technique efficiency of sugarcane production in the Hainan province. The conclusion is that there exist such status...
