With the acceleration of technology transmission and fiercecompetition MNF are facing, the function of R&D is also beingglobalized gradually. At the same time the emphasis of overseas R&Dactivity has turned from supporting overseas production to makingpurer technology renovation, to being more involved in the cooperationwith local R&D organization.During this international trend of R&D, China has been undergoinggreat impact. More and more world-famous MNF establish R&Dinstitutions in China or cooperate with China's scientific institutions oruniversities by building up R&D strategic alliance. Facing this newsituation of TNCS' development, what China should do becomes thefocus of this paper.This paper gives the main representation of MNF R&Dglobalization. We give the concept of technology alliance, analysis ofthe development, reason, motive of technology alliance, and we alsoanalyze the cost, risk and utility of technology alliance.Part one gives the concept and the development of technologyalliance. In this part, it gives the concept of technology alliance, andexpounds the background and development of technology alliance, andgives causal explanation in technology alliance, such as for the goal oftechnology research, for the goal of enter a peculiar market, for the goalof acquire core technology capability of other corporation and so on.Part two analyzes the academic explanation of corporationtechnology alliance.
