In recent years, western commercial banks introduce Internet-based banking business one after another, and develop it as strategic emphasis. Internet-based banking business become a kind of important means that the commercial banks offer the financial service in the cybereconomy era day by day, and are causing a revolution of banking. Traditional concept of banks, management theory and management mode of banks, management styles of bank and inside controlling mechanisms will change fundamentally. Developing Internet-based banking business in an all-round way, seeking the technological innovation and the space of surviving and developing, and meeting the opportunity and challenge brought in cybertimes, has already become one of the main ways in which banks are improved. Meanwhile, Internet-based banking business bring a large number of risk which are related to information technology too, and how to distinguish, take precautions against and dissolve these risks have brought the new challenge to commercial banks too. There are five chapters in this article. The first chapter carries on the study to the Internet-based banking business from the theories, introduces the definition, category, characteristic and advantages of the Internet-based banking business, and introduces the category and characteristic of risks of the Internet-based banking business and the reasons that the risks produce. Internet-based banking business is a kind of creative business, which is the new service that the bank makes use of the calculator network or the net technique to provide for the customers, including the information service, exchanging service with customers and trading service.
