Study On Rousseau's Thought Of The Ethics Of Politics

The thesis expounds the Rousseau's thought of the ethics of politics systematically from an different angle of another system of ethics.The ethics is a science, which takes "good" as its category at the core, studies on the phenomenon of the "reality" and the seeking for the "ideal" of the people's behavior in social field and the relationship of these two, and spreads the idea of value of "good" which had been confirmed in theory into the practice field of the people's behavior through public opinion as inner belief and behavior norms. An integrated system of ethics includes the part as below: the theory of human nature, the theory of value, "good"- the category at the core, and the theory of application.Rousseau insisted that the political affairs should be researched with ethics. He expounded his thought of the ethics of politics in most of his works. The Rousseau's thought of the ethics of politics starts from the discussion of human nature in the natural state, bases on the connotation of human nature in the natural state, expounds and proves on realizing the "good" in the social state - the possibility and the necessity of freedom on premise of equality, and gives out the theory of realizing the "good*'-"social contract theory".According to above all, the thesis includes four parts to expounds the Rousseau's thought of the ethics of politics:Part I , this part expounds the Rousseau's thought of the ethics of politics comprehensively by taking people in the natural state and people in the social state as the clue. Rousseau thought that the human nature was a historic concept, and the human nature was changeable, developing and varied. The connotation of human nature in the natural state was very simple, which included the unconsciousness and natural "goodness" was its main characteristic, and human is free and equal in the natural state.
