To make our goal of establishing a top-ranking tourism country come true, we need a considerable amount of capital to develop tourism resources and build tourism groundwork. There are two ways of gaining all the capital. First, the present tourism investment system should be reformed making the investment pluralized. Second, efficient investment should be guaranteed avoiding the waste of capital and repeatedly building. The second way requires a method to make the tourism investment more objective and scientific. The project financial appraisal is one of the best methods. However, the tourism industry in China lacks the perfect theories and techniques in the project financial appraisals. On the other hand, with the rapid development of tourism, we can come to the conclusion that the tourism destinations will become more and more important. It is sure that the tourism destinations can be the most popular topic in the future. Therefore, the graduation thesis discussed the theories and techniques of the tourism project financial appraisals.The first part of the thesis concluded the study background and explains some related concepts. The problems of the tourism project appraisal in China are also been analyzed. The second part of the thesis firstly talked about the necessities and importance of studying the tourism project financial appraisal. Then it studied the tourism destinations by selecting and computing the basic data and the financial indexes, as well as the uncertainty analyses and risking appraisal. The main aim is to instruct the practices of tourism investments. The last part of the thesis took a natural place of interest in Hunan province as the example for commenting the theories and techniques discussed above. In addition, the practicability and essentiality of the tourism project financial appraisal can be testified.
