In the context of "Rural Memory Project","Urban Memory Project","Memory of the World",the article focuses on the issues of social memory covered by tourism destination society.Based on the theory of social representation,social memory theory and local theory,this study defines the concept of social memory in tourist destinations and explores ways of shaping social memory in tourist destinations.This article selects the important scenic spots in Shaoshan,Hunan Province,which are typical of social memory resources,as the research case.Conduct interviews and questionnaire surveys to tourists who have visited Shaoshan Tourist Area in Hunan Province.At the same time,a model of the relationship between social memory and tourist attraction is constructed with the help of tourism behavior dynamics model,the main theory of tourism phenomenon and place identification as an intermediary variable.After revising and testing the structural equation model,the following conclusions are reached:(1)Historical and cultural landscapes,commemorative ceremonies,physical practices,and social media are the four main ways to shape the local social memory of tourist groups;(2)Four latent variables of social memory: personal memory,temporal memory,spatial memory and environmental memory have positive and significant impacts on the identification of red tourist destinations;(3)The place identification as an intermediary variable has a positive correlationwith the tourism demand thrust,but it has no significant effect on the tourism destination resource pull;(4)Personal memory positively significantly affects red tourism resource pull,while temporal memory,spatial memory and environmental memory affect the pull of tourism resources has no significant impact.The differences in age,educational level,occupational nature cause tourists to have significant differences in social memory cognition,place identification and tourist attraction perception in Shaoshan.Based on the conclusions of the study,the article proposes the following practical implications: First,local management agencies should explore multi-dimensional values of social memory resource management models.Second,local management agencies should use modern new technologies to reproduce the social memories of tourist destinations.Third,local management agencies should improve the operating mechanism and regulations for activating memories.Fourth,local management agencies should explore the construction of archives of social memories in tourist destinations to enhance local appeal.Fifth,local management agencies should give full play to the masses' heritage and protect local characteristics.It is hoped that these suggestions will promote the deep integration and balanced development of social memory inheritance and tourism development.This has important guiding significance for the effective implementation of China's "RuralMemory Project","Urban Memory Project" and "Memory of the World" in the tourism field and the actual promotion of tourist attraction.
