Study On The Living Resources Industrialization Of Dianjiang County

The subject matter of this thesis is the development of biological resources intobiological industries. It aims to investigate the possibility of making full use of regionalbiological resources to develop predominant industry and regional economy. On thebasis of the theories about regional economy and regional leading industry. takingDianjiang as an example, the paper analyses the strength and weakness of developingbiological industry in Dianjiang. Then it advances the strategies to deal with theweakness. The strategies mainly includes: 1) speeding up the pace of changingbiological advantages into industry advantages; 2) cultivating the leading company; 3)developing high-technological product; 4) and strengthening the guidance function ofgovernment. The function of regional government in developing leading industry andmeasures being taken by government are also expatiated in this paper. Finally, a casestudy is provided. It first discusses the actualities and problems on the development ofDianjiang's peony industry. Then it advances some measures on developing Dianjiang'speony industry.As for speeding up the pace of changing biological advantages into industryadvantages, the government can choose some biological species from such as peony,orange, oil vegetable, spices, livestock to develop into predominant industry andeconomic advantage. The development of leading industry in Dianjiang depends on thedevelopment of leading companies. These companies with scale are capable ofexploiting new market, leading production, guiding technological innovation, andorganizing value-added process and sales. At the same time, cooperation with researchinstitutes is an important way to promote the technological level of products. Whenregional government makes industrial planning and policies, he should create afavorable environment to motivate and encourage talents for invention and innovation,and to reduce the investment risk in biological industry. Professional service, supportand assistance for the biological industry are also very important.Therefore, research on the possibility of developing regional biological industry ofDianjiang, an underdeveloped area, is very important for the development of regionaleconomy. It also could be a model for other western counties to develop their ownpredominant industry and regional economy.
