Research On Competitiveness Of Metropolitan Areas Of China

In the new ear of globalization, the function of city as center and bridge and media become very important, because the action of globalization always appear in the urban areas at first. Urban areas become the focus of development of economics and society around the world. Urban area don't develop as island, anyone of urban areas have deep economic and social relation to other urban areas nearby. Urban areas that have relations are called metropolitan area. Metropolitan area is the engine of the world economy at present.Precise measurements of competitiveness of three metropolitan areas become more and more important to government and enterprise. So we must make a deep research on the competitiveness of three metropolitan areas.On the basis of extensive study, thorough research, and some useful references, at first, this article redefine the metropolitan area and competitiveness of metropolitan area; at second, this article break factors which influence competitiveness of metropolitan area into two groups. One group is capital factor, the other group is environment factor. At third, this article measures the competitiveness of three metropolitan areas. At last, this article gives some suggestion to Beijing metropolitan on the basis of analysis of outcome of measurement.
