Tourist behavior is the psychological process, psychological feature, and the presentation of behavior reflected by tourists during recognizing, purchasing, consuming, and evaluating tourism products. The earliest study on Tourist behavior can be ascended to "the movement and expenditure by foreigners in Italy"by L. Bodio of Statistic Bureau of Italy Government. Market-oriented mindset has already been the strategic choice for tourism development everywhere at present when the tourism competition is severely stiff. Tourism operators and managers have to understand the tourist behavior and the quality status of tourism experience. As a tourism destination with abundant natural tourism resource, humanity resource and manual sight, Wuxi city has the convenient transportation, prosperous economy, and excellent location, so studying on domestic tourist behavior in Wuxi has a certain repsentativeness. The paper takes Wuxi city as a case to study on tourist behavior by applying the theory of geography, psychology, economics and so on, discussing on motivating behavior, decision-making behavior, spatial behavior, as well as the rule and meaning of tourist experience. It reveals the features and rules of domestic tourist behavior in Wuxi city, clarifies methods to promote tourists'satisfaction, and could be a helpful exploration for further exploitation on Wuxi's tourism resource. The studying structure are designed as follows, the research framework are presented based on firstly basic concepts and then a brief review of existing international and domestic researches on tourist behavior in Chapter 1 of introduction. Theoretical base for study on urban tourist behavior are explored from the perspectives of geography, economics, and behavior science. Motivating behavior of domestic tourist in Wuxi city, decision-making behavior, and spatial behavior are studied in Chapter 3, Chapter 4, and Chapter5 respectively. The experience quality of domestic tourist behavior in Wuxi city is studied in Chapter 6. Conclusions and suggestions are drawn and proposed in final chapter. The primary conclusions are drawn by this study as follows, vacation tour is still the most common tourism motivation for domestic tourists in Wuxi and the level of tourist behavior is still low among tourists. The degree of satisfaction of domestic tourists in Wuxi city is ordinary which still has enough space for improvement. The relevant departments in Wuxi city may promote tourism attraction and tourist satisfaction through advertising at targeting tourists, manage the tourist expectations, refine service process, and improve the caliber of service staffs.
