It is a major task to be settled in time for a professional crew management company to properly appraise her crew's performance. It has caused waste of human resources for current China's crew management company to appraise performance by a static means while ignoring the fact that a person can improve himself by learning and under certain circumstances. Only by properly appraising performance can a company develop all crew's potentials and create new development drives.This thesis has established new crewmembers appraisal system, clarified the purpose, significance and effect of that system based on analyzing the shortcomings of the original crew performance appraisal system of TOSCO International Manning Cooperation Company. Meantime, this thesis has thoroughly analyzed the possibility and theoretical ground for setting up a crew appraisal system and designed the targets' system, benchmark forming progress in the appraisal, appraising programs, and how to treat the appraisal targets.The study on crew appraisal system will play an important role in help TOSCO International Manning Cooperation Company fully develop and utilize her human resources and boost the speed of scientization, standardization and modernization of her crew management. Further, the study can help promote COSCO Group's crew management work.
