The factor-score of somatization in military college students was significant higher than national norm of the young, the factor-score of psychosis had no significant diffrence, and the other factor-scroes in military college students were significant lower than national norm of the young (t=-13.456 ~ -3.027,p < 0.01). All factor-scores in military college students were significant lower than national norms of the college students and the armyman (t=-29.570~-4.660, p< 0.01) . The level of mental health status of students from army was significant higher than that of students from senior high school, and there was no significant difference between the students from city and county. The total score and factor-scroes of SCL-90 had no significant differences between the students who were only son and daughter and the students who were not (t=-0.920~-0.489, p > 0.05) . There were significant differences on factor-scores of coping styles among four grades (F=3.10~ 14.78, p<0.05 ~p< 0.01) . There had no significant difference on mature coping style and immature coping style between the students who were only son and daughter and the students who were not < t=-0.381 ■—0.728, p > 0.05) . The immature coping styles of students from senior high school were significant fewer than those of students from army (t=2.88, p< 0.01) . No differences were found on factors of coping styles between students from city and county ( t=-0.452 ~ 0.557 , p > 0.05 ) .
