The Inheriting Of Revolutionary Heroism And How To Cultivate It For The Present

Today, our army has stepped into the information era, which is characterized byconstructing the army with science and quality. High-tech weapons are constantly put into use.In order to combine best the weapons with the soldiers and make the weapons form battleeffectiveness as soon as possible, the army is carrying out a campaign of training the soldierswith technology, which will improve their overall qualities needed for the construction ofbetter-off society, the development of socialist modernization, and the preparation for militaryfights.But, facing the impact of marketing economy to the army, facing the tense and complexsituation of Taiwan Straits, facing the gap in weapons and technology with the developedcountries, and facing the worsening of revolutionary heroism, we are confronted with therealistic subject of actively advancing the reform of the army, preparing for the military fights,realizing the historical duties of "winning the war and keeping the tradition", finishing thehistorical tasks of "informationization and modernization", and studying how to fostersoldiers' revolutionary heroism under the new historical conditions. The direct purpose ofstudying how to foster revolutionary heroism is to solve the problem of self-confidence defectin winning the high-tech partial war during the preparation for military fights, correct thewrong opinion that revolutionary heroism has fallen behind the times under the condition ofmarketing economy and the unilateral idea that revolutionary heroism is indeed "having nofear for death", and provide spiritual motivation for winning the high-tech partial war.This thesis explains the meaning of revolutionary heroism, the elements ofrevolutionary heroism and the relationship between these elements, the bearingof soldiers' carrying forward revolutionary heroism, and the inheriting anddeveloping of revolutionary heroism.
