The U.S is the largest consumer and importer of petroleum in the world. In the new contrary, the unrest of the energy supply area intensified the worries about the national energy security and this kind of worry developed into the more serious worry about the sustained development of the national economy.The Caspian Sea Area which abounds with petroleum and petroleum gas has become the priority target for the US to realize the multi-strategy of energy sources which will guarantee its energy interest.The paper tries to analyze the present situation of the U.S energy security and the strategy of energy security, in order to put emphasis on the important role which the Caspian Area plays in the strategy of the U.S energy security. The key points of the paper is the diplomatic activities taken by the U.S in this area, which include the integrity omni-foreign policy towards the 3 regional big countries-Kazakhstan , Russia and Iran according to their different traits.At last, give a comprehensive analysis of the characteristics of the U.S energy diplomacy for the Caspian Sea Area and give a prediction of the future of this foreign policy.The outline of this paper is:Preface: Put the emphasis on the present situation of the U.S energy security ,and give a the introduction of the large-scale diplomatic activities of the U.S in Caspian Sea Area.Chapter1: Introduce the unique role of energy in today's international society. In such a case, the energy significance of the Caspian Sea Area is really distinguished.Chapter2: Highlight the necessity of the implement of the U.S global energy strategy and the important influence of the resource from the Caspian Sea Area by a deep insight of the situation of the U.S energy.Chapter3: Give a detailed and full statement on the energy security strategy of the U.S in the Caspian Sea Area.Chapter4: Analyze the competition and cooperation between the U.S and Russia, and the strategic choice of the U.S which will lead to a bilateral-benefit result.Chapter5: Explore the transition of the relation between the U.S &Iran from hostility to negotiation on the energy problem.Conclude Remarks: Summarize the characteristics of the U.S foreign policy for the Caspian Sea Area and give a prediction of this problem.
