Research On The Third Sector And The Construction Of Harmonious Socialistic Society

At present, China is at a vital turning point, when various social contradictions show up. Therefore, an important strategy is put up forward at the 16th People's Representative Conference, that is, to construct a harmonious socialistic society. The third sector is a bridge that connects government with the society, as well as an important complication of the modern society frame. It is nonpolitical, non profit, voluntary and common wealthy, and it has the advantage of agility, creativity and close to the public, it will play an important role in constructing a harmonious society. This paper demonstrates the concept of the third sector and harmonious society, and then, based on some theories and combining the main features and essential requirement of harmonious socialistic society, as well as some specific examples, it analyzes the functions of the third sector in promoting democracy and justice, advocating friendship and creation, as well as making a harmonious world for the nature and human beings in the construction of a harmonious socialistic society. As a result, the full development of the third sector will be an important way to build harmonious socialistic society. However, due to the short time of development, the third sector in China is not very strong and mature, and there are still some short comings in promoting harmonious socialistic society. This paper sums up all the problems into the following types, creativity is de-motivated by the over strong emphasis on officials, social justice is constrained by the commercial process, public service is influenced by the lack of volunteerism, social trust is damaged by lack of discipline, etc. It is proposed in this paper that we should make rules to the developing of the third sector by advocating the spirit of volunteerism, creating a good condition, harmonizing the relationship between the first and the second sectors, strengthening self-construction, improving self-control ability, satisfying the law and creating a favorable exterior environment, in order to regularize the development of the third sector and promote the construction of a harmonious socialist society.
