The Study On International Cooperation Against Corruption

The corruption is a malignant tumor of economical and political life in the human society. It undermines the institutions and values of democracy, ethical values and justice and jeopardizes sustainable development and the rule of law. Also, there is the links between corruption and other forms of crime, in particular organized crime. Corruption is no longer a local matter but a transnational phenomenon that affects all societies and economies. Because corruption has already become a global hazard, we must make international cooperation against corruption.Since twenty-first century, the international cooperation against corruption has come to a new stage. The passing of United Nations Convention against Corruption means that international cooperation against corruption has entered into the maturation period. United Nations Convention against Corruption establishes the strong foundation of law for international cooperation against corruption and stimulates the international cooperation against corruption.Now the international cooperation regime against corruption is composed of bilateral cooperation, region cooperation and global cooperation, but the regime is still a primary frame and the execution of the regime will be restrained by some factors. Especially, there is a series of barriers and matters in the international cooperation against corruption between developing countries and developed countries. The basic reason of these barriers and matters is that the world economical and political order is still an unequal and unfair old order.With the further development of globalization and becoming an information-based society, making strongly international cooperation against corruption is more and more important to China. So we must take affective measures to improve international cooperation against corruption.
