Japanese political Right Deviation has been intensified in these years. Japanese rightists have become increasingly rampant. Japanese right-wing groups made a lot of wrongdoings, such as distorting and negating the history, glorifying its former invasion crimes of militarism, striving to break through and amend the Peace Constitution, exerting its effort to expand its military forces and trying in vain to make itself a political military superpower. The reasons of post-war Japanese political Right Deviation are mainly as follows: its own reasons and American policies toward Japan during the period of post-war. America occupied Japan and carried out a series of democratic reforms in Japan after World Warâ…¡. However, for the beginning of the Cold War, America changed its policies toward Japan. America fostered and propped up Japanese rightists for the implementation of its global strategies. The following thesis analyzes the roles played by America in the process of the post-war Japanese Right Deviation in five parts as follows.First part is the brief introduction to Japanese Right Deviation and Right wing forces. Japanese rightists are the foundation of political Right Deviation. Comprehending it would be useful for us to comprehend Japanese Right Deviation.Second part is the preservation of Japanese Mikado and the system of Mikado Autocracy. Mikado is the soul of Japanese Militarism and Fascism. During the post-war period, US maintained Japanese Mikado to meet its need of global strategy, which became the source of Japanese government's distorting and negating invasion history. The last three parts analyze respectively US policies toward Japanese rightists and the effects on Japanese Right Deviation in the period of the early post-war era, amid Cold War and post Cold War. In the early post-war era, US made democratic reforms in Japan in every facet of Japanese society. However, US changed its policies to foster Japan as American strategic military base in Asian area with the changing of international situation. In 1990s, US and Japan strengthened their military ally, even though Cold War had ended.
