The Ontological Political States Of Western Theories Of International Relations And Their Governance

The evolvement of different schools of western theories of international relations follows the deductive clues of ontology, epistemology and methodology, but basically and essentially it follows a clue of ontology.Theories of different schools probe into the original derivation of international politics through distinct thinking methods, cognitive logic and deviation of values; and consequentially construct specific ontological"role-scenarios"covering from basic political state, structural formation to interactive relationship and internal motivation of actors. With such"Scenarios"as"script", they seek respectively their rational goals of value achievement——in the meanwhile the different ideologies of governance of international/world politics come into being.There are mainly six patterns of governance deriving from ontological structures and motivational logic of actors in different theories. The development of such patterns embodies the parallel advancement of history and theories, the communicational liaison between reason and values, unity of opposites between inheritance and reformation, as well as the interactive relations and evolving process between cognitive logic and social practice in international politics. However, such a process can never find its way out the predicament of knowledge and reason itself, and never discard the confinement of Occidentalism in values.
