Research On Citizen’s Political Participation In China In The Perspective Of State Governance Modernization

Since reform and opening up, China has made a significant advance in every undertaking. With the development of economy and society, the level of people’political participation is also improved. The relationship between individual and nation is getting closer than before, which is reflected in the increasing wishes and requirement of political participation. In November 2013, the CPC and state leaders who are keeping pace with the new era, firstly proposed modernization in the state governance system and governance capability. The modernization of state governance complied with the times, the trend of the word, meets and reflects the requirements and desires of the vast majority of countries. Citizens’ political participation is needed for realizing the modernization in state governance, in other words, citizens’ political participation matters the evolution of the modernization in state governance. In fact,we can say that studying citizens’ political participation is actually humanity administering, that is people-oriented idea. It is of great value and meaning to study this topic.This paper can be divided into four parts. The first part mainly introduced the research origin, meaning, ideas and methods. The second part described the basic theories about the modernization in state governance and citizens’ political participation. And then it analyzes in the text the current situation of citizens’ political participation, makes a summery of its problems and analyzes the reasons from the perspective of the modernization in state governance. The last part mainly discussed the ways which citizens take part in politics, it inculded principals to be followed and concrete measures. For the purposes of promoting citizens’ political participation, we can make an effort from four aspect: the first is political-institution building, the second is to improve citizen’ political participation ability. And then to broaden political participation channel and the last is to cultivate advanced political culture.
