Human-centered management came into being at the ancient times. More than 2000 years ago our ancestors expounded it brilliantly. In the west, the thought of human-centered management was formed at the end of the 19th century that we can see in the ancient western theory of management.The theory of human-centered management was developed with the theory of management. Since Taylor set up the theory of scientific management, the development of management theory has experienced four stages, such as, ancient theory of management and scientific theory of behavior. As a kind of the thought and theory of management, human-centered management was developed with the pace of the science of management. Human-centered management was put forward formally in the 1960s and was thought highly of by the western and eastern enterprises and different organizations in the 1980s. The theory of human-centered management emphases man's function and regards man as the most important resource in all organizations. This theory guides the staff to realize their scheduled aims by using many methods to improve the staff's ability, arouse and develop the staff's enthusiasm and creativity. The other resources in organizations are all around the center of human.At the modern times of intellect economy, the change of economy forms asks for corresponding ideas, so man's status will be further raised. The ability to obtain and use knowledge will be the key of competence. The method of management at modern times will change from the management of production based on material to the human-centered management based on knowledge. The theory of human-centered management is very popular nowadays. This thesis expounds the meaning, character and theory base of the theory of human-centered management and analyzes the management problems that exist in our Non-government Organizations from management theory, sociology and psychology.
