A Study On Green Trade Barrier And The Legal Effect Of Green Clauses In WTO Rules

With the acceleration of the world economic globalization and the expansion of free trade worldwide, a wholly new way of trade protection steps quietly on the stage of international trade, which is the sight-catching green trade barrier. Green trade barrier also called green barrier, is a way to limit the products from abroad in the name of protecting limited resources, ecological environment and the health of human being through the making of strict and bitter environmental standards. There is much provision concerning green trade barrier in WTO rules, but while replying to the green trade barrier which diversified and complicated increasingly, more and more shortage of the provision appeared. Under such circumstances it' s very meaningful either in theory or in practice to carefully study the contents, characteristics and styles of the green trade barrier, and analyses the effectiveness of the green clauses of WTO, the influence of the green trade barrier upon our foreign trade combining with specific cases, face the opportunities and challenges green trade barrier bring for our foreign trade, put forward operative corresponding measure push actively the development of trade and environment in order to promote the continuous development of our foreign trade.There are four chapters in my thesis, the main content can be given as follows:In chapter one, we do a total evaluation to the basic theories of green trade barrier.
