The Middle East, which has an important strategic status and abundant supply of petroleum resources, is regard as the area to be managed importantly by every American administration. After the cold war, the Middle East whose position not only isn′t lowered but more prominent, has become the important constituent in the US global strategy. After the Bush Administration appears on the stage, the US continues maintaining the strategic benefit and the dominant position in the region. However, the huge changes of the regional and the international situation force the Bush Administration to adjust the Middle East policy. The article mainly begins with the Middle East policy which implemented from the Bush Administration, and elaborates the US cognition to the Middle East strategic benefit and the threat, the movement path, the essential features and the basic appraisal of the Middle East policy of the Bush Administration.The article mainly divides into four parts.The first part elaborates the strategic benefits and the threat in the Middle East the US faces from three aspects----geography strategy benefit, the rich oil resource and"the Islam threat". Point out, geopolitics is the most basic basis that the US global strategy forms; The energy is the American own hegemony, is also the focal point the great nations compete; The Islam mixing with the large—scale destructive weapons and the terrorism not only challenge the US′S ideology, but also harms the US′S practical benefits in the Islam world and even the overseas and the native national′s safety.
