On Moral Construction Of The Harmonious Socialist Society

The building of the harmonious socialist society is not only the principle of resolving the realistic problems in the current social development but also one of the fundamental indexes of the socialist society and the need of building the rational international order. It is the essential requirement of realizing the historical tasks of ruling of the Communist Party of China (CPC) to build a society in which all the people do their best according to their abilities and in their proper places as well as live harmoniously with each other. The socialist moral construction is included in the building of harmonious society and the target of the harmonious socialist society cannot be realized without the moral construction.1. Moral is the spiritual pillar of the harmonious society The harmonious socialist society is the one of democracy and ruling by law, fairness and justice, good faith and friendliness, full of vigor, stability and orderliness as well as people in harmony with the nature. Viewed from the content, the harmony consists of the one of the relations between people, the relations between people and materials and between the relations between people and the relations between people and materials. Harmony is the one of interests in the final analysis. Moral is the value orientation and attitude adjusting the interest relations between people and a special social ideology continuously developing with the human history as well as the total criteria of conduct of adjusting the relations between people and the individuals with society by the power of social public opinions, traditional customs and human inner belief, etc. It shows how people "should" deal with the interest relations between people, which means "reasonableness", "fairness" and "justice" recognized by people. And the harmonious society is the one in which "reasonableness", "fairness" and "justice" can be carried out and represented.
